The weather was great, the performance on the field was great, and it was great to see how much love Krystle has to share after a few drinks! 

Shout out to Eric who struck out two (one on a decision and one who went out swinging). As a first baseman, I would like to hand out a special thanks to my short stop and third basemen who got most of the action and we’re practically flawless. After a few wild throws in warm-up, I was a bit nervous, but they stepped it up in the game and made my job easy.

We were heading for a shut out in the last inning, but Krystle tried to be fancy and our opponents got the first of their 2 points. The other team probably thought they had a pretty good hit at the end, but our speedy left fielder would have none of that!

Can’t keep track of how many runs we scored, we were on fire, great hitting! Great base running! Even if Eric didn’t seem to appreciate his form, good base-running to Daniel, who ate dirt at third for an extra base. America 2 felt bad about blowing out the other team, so he decided to lightly jog the bases and at his last at-bat, thought that striking out would be the more sportsmen-like thing to do (ok maybe the foul ball at 250 feet was meant to be a home run).

In the end, Katia’s cold got the best of her, and she sat out the last inning to have a cat nap with her dog.

    Great game!

    Anne
