This past week saw the evil Softballs Deep against everyone’s favourite new team Subs Buds and Windmills. Sarah Rose, as the only regular girl, lead a group of all-star subs that included Dallas, Starr and Laura. This group did it all on Tuesday! We had cross diamond throws from Laura, put outs at 2nd from Starr and rocket powered line drives off Dallas’s bat.
I guess the guys showed up and did a bit too. Newcomer Aaron made a couple of beauty catches while roving around the outfield while Matt showed up to do what he normally does, diving all over the infield to prevent those ground ball singles.
Great defensive game by everyone leading to a dominant 14-2 victory for the newcomer Subs.
Next week we can try to get at least one homer so we can have a “GOING GOING GONE” in the recap :p
